Fire Department Web Site
Issues
As you have no doubt found true of
your own department and of others, too often when we and others try to
visit a web site of a VFD or EMS department, we find one or more of the
following:
- you can't find them, with a simple web search,
- the department's web site no longer exists,
- the link now re-directs to another NON-fire/EMS
site,
- nobody at the department knew the web site's
address,
- e-mail bounces back to you and all other the senders,
- contact links don't exist or they are out of date,
- vital and fundamental information is not on the web
site,
- the web site is hosted on some real cheap free
service full of pop-up ads,
- the web site generally looks cheap and they have many broken
links,
- it has a long domain name other than the
department's .com or .org name,
- the site doesn't generate revenue (on-line sales) or
donations,
- the web site doesn't reflect the professionalism of
the department,
- nobody is regularly maintaining the web site,
- the site hasn't been maintained or updated in a few
years, and
- the department's web site generally isn't
functional.
This is a huge problem for every
VFD and EMS department. Like any other business, even volunteer, combined and
EMS departments are growing more dependent upon computers and web technologies
on a daily basis. This is true if you need to file for a grant on-line, or
you are seeking other form of financing or donations and the finance company or
donating company needs information or wishes to contact you through your web
site.
Very few departments have members
who know how to completely code a web site, set up an e-commerce web site,
effectively manage a web site, market the web site, achieve high search engine
rankings, or to be a server administrator. Some folks say they can do this
or they know someone who can do this, but you know the result of what happens
when someone just talks a good game. In short, if your site isn't professional, functional and others can
find it and then
use it to contact you and get a response . . . YOU LOSE!
We are pleased to offer computer
systems and both the web
hosting service and the web site development for volunteer fire, combined and
EMS departments;
because these are now essential for all successful and professionally managed
departments. They are also growing necessary to make and generate
revenues. How much revenue has your department lost in the form of grants,
donations, on-line sales, or the ability to get low interest tax-exempt leases?
What we do at VFD-EMS, to
provide our high quality professional services is:
Recommend and provide a viable domain name selection and acquisition
Provide web hosting, with your own domain name (yourVFD.com)
Perform your web site development
Install E-commerce and other on-line revenue generation solutions
Perform search engine optimizations, submissions, and other
on-line marketing
Provide assistance in obtaining VISA/MC merchant accounts for
on-line sales and donations
Perform all web site management and server
administration
Does your volunteer
fire department need a web site, upgrade of your existing web site and/or
affordable web site hosting? If so,
contact us. We can help you get your own .com, .net, or .org domain
name, host it and help you to develop a functional and professional on-line
presence.
